MiVillage offers a variety of different enrollment options including 9am-3pm, 9am-6pm, 7am-3pm and 7am-6pm.
The preschool is designed to be flexible and responsive to children's needs and to focus on joyful play-based learning. Throughout the preschool day, teachers support the development of the whole child including physical development, social and emotional development, and cognitive development (including important preacademic skills).

From mastering personal hygiene routines to confidently dressing themselves for outdoor adventures, our preschoolers develop essential self-help skills. Moreover, they navigate social interactions, learn problem-solving strategies, and embrace decision-making—all crucial components of their growth and development.
7:00am-9:00am
Children are welcomed into a warm and nurturing environment by their teacher where they are encouraged to play freely.
9:00am-9:45am
During this time, children have the freedom to choose their activities and follow their interests, fostering creativity, imagination, and social skills. The warm and nurturing environment created by the teacher ensures that children feel safe and supported as they engage in play. This time also allows teachers to observe and understand each child's unique strengths, interests, and developmental needs.
9:45am-10:00am
Circle Time is a vital part of our program, fostering a sense of community and enhancing children's development. Through engaging group activities such as storybook reading, music, calendar/weather discussions, and interactive learning games, children not only build essential literacy, numeracy, and social skills but also learn the value of cooperation and participation in a group setting. Circle Time promotes a positive learning environment where children feel connected, supported, and eager to explore new ideas together.
10:00am-10:20am
Snack Time is a brief interlude for children to refuel and engage in conversation. Snacks, provided by MiVillage, offer nutritious options to support children's health and well-being. This pause encourages social interaction and provides an opportunity for children to share experiences while nourishing their bodies.
10:20am-10:45am
During Activity Time , children are invited to participate in engaging group activities designed to enhance their fine motor skills and creativity. Led by our teachers, activities may include arts and crafts, where children explore various materials to create unique artwork, and science experiments tailored to develop skills such as gripping a pencil/marker, cutting, and gluing. These hands-on experiences not only foster fine motor development but also encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and self-expression in a supportive and interactive environment.
11:00am-11:45am
During Outside Time, children have the chance to experience the joys of outdoor play. They engage in both free and guided activities, exploring the natural environment and enjoying physical exercise. In the event of inclement weather, our spacious gym provides a suitable alternative, allowing children to run, jump, and play while enhancing their gross motor skills. Whether outside or indoors, children benefit from active play, fostering their physical health and overall well-being.
12:00pm-12:30pm
During Lunch, children have the opportunity to enjoy a meal while engaging in conversations with both teachers and peers. This time fosters social interaction and communication skills as children share experiences and thoughts. Lunch is provided by families.
1:00pm-2:00pm
During Quiet Time, children are given the opportunity to unwind and recharge. Rest mats are provided for those who wish to nap, while others engage in quiet activities such as reading books or playing with manipulatives. This peaceful break allows children to rest their bodies and minds, promoting relaxation and rejuvenation. Whether sleeping or quietly engaging in activities, Quiet Time provides a calming atmosphere for children to decompress and prepare for the rest of their day.
2:00pm-3:00pm
Children have the chance to explore a variety of activities that promote creativity, imagination, and learning. They can engage in free play with options such as play dough, sensory materials, art, writing activities, manipulatives, science center exploration, library browsing, blocks, dramatic play, and tabletop activities. Teachers provide guidance and support as children navigate these experiences, fostering their curiosity and development across various domains.
2:45pm-3:00
During Afternoon Pickup , children who are leaving for the day will pack up their belongings and prepare to be picked up by their guardians. For those staying for the afternoon session, they will be escorted to the Rainbow Room, where they will continue to engage in enriching activities and supervised play until the end of the day. This transition ensures a smooth departure for those leaving while providing a welcoming environment for those staying on.
Gym Time
3:00-3:30
During Gym Time, children staying for the afternoon session will have the opportunity to participate in more physical activity in the gym. This time allows them to further develop their gross motor skills, expend energy, and engage in active play. Structured games or free play activities may be provided to encourage movement and social interaction.
Afternoon Snack
3:30-4:00
Afternoon Snack provides children with a nutritious refreshment to keep them energized until dinner. This additional snack time ensures that children have the sustenance they need for continued engagement and learning throughout the end of the day.
4:00pm-6:00pm
Children have the chance to explore a variety of activities that promote creativity, imagination, and learning. They can engage in free play with options such as play dough, sensory materials, art, writing activities, manipulatives, science center exploration, library browsing, blocks, dramatic play, and tabletop activities. Teachers provide guidance and support as children navigate these experiences, fostering their curiosity and development across various domains.
