I'm Holly, and I've had the privilege of being a part of the MiVillage family since its very beginning. My mornings are filled with the joy of teaching preschool, and what I truly love is the unique experience of working with children of different age groups. This wonderful dichotomy keeps each day exciting and brimming with new discoveries.
My journey as a preschool teacher began back in 2012, and I officially joined the MiVillage team in 2018. I consider it an absolute honor to play a role in shaping young minds and being a part of their early years of growth and development.
Outside of the classroom, my heart belongs to my three incredible children: Lily, Nate, and Zoe. They are my constant source of inspiration and joy.
Before embarking on my career in teaching, I was actively involved in children's sports. This included coaching skating, hockey, soccer, and karate, which allowed me to connect with children on a different level and gain valuable insights into their world.
On the academic front, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a Minor in Psychology - Social Sciences, earned from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. Although my academic journey may seem unrelated to early childhood education, it has equipped me with a diverse skill set and a unique perspective that I bring into my work every day.
In my free time, I share my love for music by singing in my church choir.
One of my greatest joys in life is creating a space where children can come after school to have fun, decompress, experience new adventures, and above all, feel included. It's a privilege I cherish deeply.
